• Coffee & Dish #21

Hi Friends! It’s been a while since I’ve shared one of these posts and today is your lucky day because I’m sharing fun things for fall! I picked up one of these cozy knit tops at Target. I love that it is thinner than a traditional sweater but still cozy AND it looks adorable with my olive pants. I picked up a new (to me) cookbook by Joy the Baker while I was on vacation this summer and there are so many things I want to bake including the breakfast nachos and the apple pie with CHEDDAR-BACON crust! drooling yet? Looking for new fall decorations? I love the neutral color of these pumpkins and I…

  • Sam’s Coffee & Dish – February 2017

Welcome to February!   {ONE} Thanks for being patient with me as I find my blogging groove for 2017. While I didn’t post very many recipes in January, there were some good ones! These cookies are an absolute favorite of ours (and everyone else who has tried them) and we’ve been eating this BBQ for a while and I’ve finally perfected the recipe just how we like it!   {TWO} Have you ever ordered glasses online? I’ve seen other bloggers do it and I’ve always been intrigued. It’s time for me to order a new pair and I think I’m going to try it. I like that most companies will…

  • Sam’s Dish 2016 Favorites

One year ago, this week, I took a risk and started Sam’s Dish. In 2016 I shared 71 (wow) recipes with you. Lots of cooking, baking and eating happened in my little kitchen. It was a good first year! Last night I sat down with my hubby and we looked through all of the recipes on the blog. I lost count of the number of times that he said things like “that was really good” or “you haven’t made that in a long time” or “we ate good last year”. lol. So today I’m sharing our (mine and my husband’s) favorite recipes from 2016.     Here are our…

  • Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, y’all! I hope you all were able to spend time yesterday with family and friends on Christmas Day.     This year I had to slow down and remember that Christmas isn’t actually about the perfectly decorated trees and professional Christmas cards, or the gifts we give and parties we attend, or enjoying hot chocolate and baking dozens of cookies. Christmas is about remembering that the baby in the manger came to save the world.   It’s been a fun 1st year for Sam’s Dish and I’m so glad you are part of it! I’m taking the rest of the year off to spend time celebrating Christmas and just…

  • Saturday Coffee and Dish – October 2016

Hey Y’all! Fall is officially here and it’s been cold and rainy this week. That means it’s time for sweaters, football, and soup! I have a couple new soup recipes I’m working on and I’ll hopefully be able to share them with you soon! Labor Day weekend seems like forever ago, but it wasn’t. Here is a picture from our beach trip!   I’m loving my new candle! It’s perfect for fall and it’s on sale today! Have you checked out my fall Pinterest board? On the way to the gym this morning I noticed they are putting in a new Starbucks and it’s in a more convenient location for me…

  • Saturday Coffee & Dish – September 2016

Hey Y’all! Hope you are enjoying a few last tastes of summer this Labor Day weekend. We are spending the weekend in Delaware and had planned to spend large amounts of time on the sunny beach, but hurricane Hermine changed those plans. So we are enjoying a weekend away from home, watching football, drinking coffee and watching the rain fall. A little hurricane won’t keep us from having a relaxing weekend!! If you’ve been a reader for a while you might notice that the address changed and I’m now officially samsdish.com! And if that wasn’t cool enough, the site also got a makeover! Bear with me for the next few…

  • Saturday Coffee & Dish – August 2016

There’s so much to talk about in July! Here are some of the highlights. We spent the 4th of July week with my family in Georgia and had a great time. We spent lots of time hanging out at my parent’s house, eating and playing Dutch Blitz. Have you played it before? It’s definitely a favorite of ours. I only posted one picture, but I think there’s a similar one from each day we were down there.   One morning we made donuts and I think they loved them! Not that I was really worried, who doesn’t love donuts?! We also celebrated my youngest sister’s 16th birthday with lunch and shopping…
