I love recipes that look and taste like you spent all day in the kitchen when in reality you threw it together in just a couple minutes! Because the consistency of this bread is more like a biscuit, there is no finicky yeast to worry about. No yeast means the prep is simple and then it’s into the oven so you can work on the rest of your 5-course dinner or clean your house. This bread is perfect to serve with soup or salad or pretty much any meal. And leftovers are AMAZING! Think toasted and made into an open face breakfast sandwich with a fried egg and sausage. Um…wow! One catch…for you to…

Cherry Limeade Punch
I am a firm believer that everyone needs a signature punch recipe. This Cherry Limeade punch has been a favorite of mine for years. When I’m throwing a party I always need a couple of “easy” recipes on the menu. Recipes that I’ve made multiple times and don’t have fussy ingredients. This punch is perfect for bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties, anniversary parties, summertime cookouts…I think you’re getting the idea here. This punch is perfect for parties or just an ordinary day that needs a little something extra special. Do you remember the Cherry Limeades at Sonic? I lived off of them in my early twenties and this punch definitely…

Double Chocolate Donuts
I can’t believe it’s taken so long for me to share this recipe! These double chocolate donuts are delightfully delectable and a cross between the Baked Cinnamon Sugar Donuts and the Double Dark Chocolate Muffins that we already know and love. Chocolate donuts are hands down my favorite type of donut. And these chocolate donuts are tender and cakey and covered in a dreamy chocolate ganache. I call these donuts double chocolate for 2 reasons. First they are chocolate donuts covered in a chocolate ganache and secondly, they are double dipped in the ganache. Yes, you read that right, double dipped. Because one layer of ganache just isn’t enough. This ganache is everything…

Saturday Coffee & Dish – August 2016
There’s so much to talk about in July! Here are some of the highlights. We spent the 4th of July week with my family in Georgia and had a great time. We spent lots of time hanging out at my parent’s house, eating and playing Dutch Blitz. Have you played it before? It’s definitely a favorite of ours. I only posted one picture, but I think there’s a similar one from each day we were down there. One morning we made donuts and I think they loved them! Not that I was really worried, who doesn’t love donuts?! We also celebrated my youngest sister’s 16th birthday with lunch and shopping…

Strawberry Chocolate Chip Muffins
I’m back today after an unexpected two week blogging hiatus. Hopefully I can get back to regular blogging this week. Before we get to today’s recipe can we take a second and talk about how today is August 1st? Where did the summer go?! At the beginning of the summer I started working on a strawberry muffin recipe. I wanted them to be moist and fluffy with a fresh strawberry flavor. So here we are today, pounds of strawberries and dozens of muffins later, we have Strawberry Chocolate Chip Muffins. For the bright and fresh strawberry flavor, we use fresh strawberry puree and it gives them a pretty pink color too!…

Salted Caramel Brownie Sundae
Today we are going to combine two recipes that I have already shared with you for One Bowl Fudgy Brownies and Salted Caramel Ice Cream and add Salted Caramel Sauce to make a killer Salted Caramel Brownie Sundae. This sundae is a showstopper and will definitely impress your family and friends. Now the Salted Caramel Sauce is what sends this sundae over the top. It is rich, creamy, and buttery. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! One of the best things about this recipe is that it can be prepared, start to finish, in less than 10 minutes. I know that homemade caramel can be intimidating, but don’t be afraid of…

Salted Caramel Ice Cream
I love ice cream! And with temperatures in the 90s every day this week, summer is officially here and cold desserts are my jam. Have you ever made homemade ice cream? It’s just slightly more difficult that buying some at the store and unfortunately takes a good bit of time, but the reward of homemade ice cream is definitely worth the extra work and time. Now, you might not keep heavy cream on hand like I do, but the rest of the ingredients are simple ones you probably already have in your kitchen. If you’ve been around here for a while you’ve heard me talk about my love of sweet…

Baked Ziti
I’m back today with another favorite recipe of ours. My hubby doesn’t request a lot of meals, but this is one he is always excited about. Now don’t be intimidated by the long list of ingredients, they are worth it. I would say that even through there are a lot of ingredients this recipe comes together quickly, but that would be pulling your leg. Side note: does anyone even say that anymore?? Because this recipe is heavy on the prep I typically prep this recipe a day or two before and then bake until warm and bubbly the day I want to serve it. The recipe calls for half ground…

Honey Oat Granola
I’ve been a little quiet this week because I’m visiting family and trying to spend more time with them than on social media. No worries, next week we will be back on track and I have some exciting new recipes to share with you! Now on to the Honey Oat Granola. One night last week I decided to change up my favorite Dark Chocolate Granola and make a chocolate free version. I kept the coconut but added sunflower seeds for even more flavor and crunch. This granola definitely has a sweet and salty combo going on between the honey and brown sugar that is combined with the salted sunflower seeds…
