• Cookies and Cream Cookies with White Chocolate Chips

Y’all, I am so excited to share these cookies with you today! Variations of these Cookies and Cream cookies were all over the internet last year, I saw them on at least 4 different blogs. I knew if that many people were talking about them and loving them that I needed to try them too!     You start with a basic cookie dough batter and sub cream cheese for some of the butter and instant milk powder for some of the flour. These changes make the cookies moist and rich. I’ll admit that I had some reservations about putting store bought cookies, even though they were Oreos, inside my…

  • White Chocolate Chip Snickerdoodles

Today I’m sharing the second recipe for Sam’s Holiday Treats. These White Chocolate Chip Snickerdoodles started with a traditional Snickerdoodle made from the recipe I grew up enjoying every Christmas and then we add the magic ingredient…white chocolate chips and you have our new favorite way to enjoy Snickerdoodles!     Traditionally Snickerdoodles are made with cream of tartar. I don’t know about you, but I never have cream of tartar on hand and I bet you don’t either. So I’ve used baking powder to replace the cream of tartar and baking soda the recipe originally called for.     Soft, chewy, and covered in a tasty cinnamon and sugar mixture. These…

  • Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

I have a confession to make…I like raisins and I love Oatmeal Raisin cookies! I feel like you either love raisins or you hate them and my husband, who is the main taste-tester around our house, doesn’t like them. I guess that’s just more proof that opposites attract. I’ve been craving Oatmeal Raisin Cookies for months and the raisins that have been sitting in my pantry have been mocking me. I finally had the chance to make some over the weekend and I’m kicking myself for waiting so long. The recipe for these cookies is based off of an Oatmeal Cookies recipe from my husband’s mom. I changed up a few of the…

  • Oatmeal Creme Pies

I have a love of Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies that goes back to my childhood and I was so excited when I found this recipe. While these cookies aren’t an exact replica, they definitely satisfy my Oatmeal Creme Pie loving sweet tooth. These Oatmeal Creme Pies are soft, chewy and have just a hint of molasses. Two tender oatmeal cookies are filled with a delicious and buttery creme filling, turning them into Oatmeal Creme Pies. Instead of a marshmallow filling, we use a simple creme filling consisting of butter, cream and sugar. This is good news for you mashmallow haters out there. Yes, sis, I’m looking at you. Let’s talk about oatmeal for…

  • Browned Butter and Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookies

How did y’all celebrate National Chocolate Chip day? I made three batches of chocolate chip cookies this weekend and I made this recipe twice! On a side note, we ran out of clean spoons, that’s how much taste testing happened over here. On an even further side track, I go back to work today and I’m not jumping up and down excited about having to wake up to my alarm. But I do have cookies for the hubby and I to share with our coworkers to make our transition a little bit easier. These are currently our favorite chocolate chip variety and the hubby requests them anytime I say I’m making cookies.…

  • Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake

As I’m typing this post I’m realizing this is the third chocolate chip recipe I’ve posted. I think it’s safe to say that we have a slight chocolate chip obsession at our house! When I made this over the weekend the hubby said that he had forgotten how much he liked it!   For the longest time I wasn’t a fan of cookie cakes, I thought most of them were hard and bland. But after trying several recipes without success, I found this one and didn’t look back. This cookie cake is soft and chewy because of the brown sugar, cornstarch and extra egg yolk.     One of the best things about this cookie…

  • Old Fashioned Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

If there is one cookie I associate with my childhood, it’s this one. Every time we wanted to bake cookies my mom would pull out her stained recipe card for Mrs. Fields Chocolate Chip Cookies. While the original is still classically delicious, over the years I’ve made a couple of updates. One of the most noticeable updates was to cut the recipe in half. My favorite part of these chocolate chip cookies is definitely the cinnamon. Cinnamon is one of those spices that I buy in bulk. I also like to mix it up and add multiple types of chocolate chips. I always use semi-sweet and dark, but for the third kind I use…
